Germantown has grown rapidly as younger Korean-American families moved further out from Rockville and Bethesda in search of more house for the dollar. The broader Korean community infrastructure — churches, markets, Korean weekend schools — remains centered in Gaithersburg and Rockville, but Germantown's school system (Northwest High, Clarksburg High nearby) is increasingly drawing Korean-American families who work in the biotech corridor.
